Tax Associate Job Description Template

The Tax Associate will be responsible for preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid in a timely manner. The Tax Associate will also work with clients to resolve any tax-related issues. In addition, the Tax Associate will keep abreast of changes in tax law and regulations and update clients accordingly.

Tax Associate Job Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • The skills and qualifications needed for the role of Tax Associate include:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA or JD preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting or law firm tax department preferred.
  • Experience with tax research and writing technical tax memos.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
