Revenue Cycle Analyst Job Responsibilities
- Review and analyze revenue cycle data to identify process improvements
- Develop and maintain reports to track key performance indicators for the revenue cycle
- Work with crossfunctional teams to implement process improvements
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations
- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues causing inefficiencies in the revenue cycle
- Assist with the development and implementation of new systems or software to improve revenue cycle management

Objectives
- To ensure accurate and timely billing of patients by working with the revenue cycle team.
- To work closely with the coding staff to ensure that all diagnoses and procedures are properly coded for reimbursement.
- To monitor payer reimbursement trends and keep abreast of changes in coding and billing requirements.
- To develop reports detailing variances in reimbursement levels and make recommendations for process improvements to increase revenues.
- To serve as a liaison between the revenue cycle team and other departments within the organization, such as accounting, patient financial services, and clinical staff.
