Junior Accountant Job Description Template
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end closing. The Junior Accountant will also assist with special projects as needed.

Objectives
- To learn and develop accounting skills in order to become a successful accountant.
- To provide accurate and timely financial information to the management team in order to support decision making.
- To prepare journal entries, ledgers and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- To reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- To maintain Petty Cash book, update it regularly & submit for reimbursement on time.
Junior Accountant Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Junior accountants should have excellent mathematical skills and be able to analyze financial data.
- They should also be detailoriented and able to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential, as junior accountants will often be required to prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
