The Social Worker Assistant will provide support to the professional social worker in the delivery of direct services to clients. The assistant will also perform administrative tasks and maintain client records. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. They must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Assist social workers in providing direct services to clients, including assessment, intervention, and case management.
  • Help develop treatment plans and goals in collaboration with social workers and clients.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive necessary resources and support.
  • Connect clients to community resources, such as housing, food assistance, and medical care.
  • Conduct home visits to check on client wellbeing and progress towards goals.
  • Keep detailed records of client interactions and progress.
  • Attend trainings and meetings as required by the agency/employer
