The Facilities Director is responsible for the management and operation of all facilities related functions within an organization. This includes but is not limited to: building maintenance, security, groundskeeping, housekeeping, and event set-up/breakdown. The Facilities Director works closely with other members of the management team to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of the organization.

Facilities Director Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee facilities management policies, procedures, and programs
  • Coordinate all aspects of facility operations and maintenance
  • Manage the budget for facility operations and maintenance
  • Ensure that all health, safety, and security regulations are followed

  • Plan and coordinate major repairs, renovations, or new construction projects

Facilities Director Job Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • The Facilities Director should have a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. They should also have at least five years of experience managing facilities and operations. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential for this role.
