Traffic Marshall Job Responsibilities
- Direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic at construction sites, parking lots, or other locations.
- Set up and maintain traffic cones, barrels, warning signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices.
- Communicate with drivers using hand signals or twoway radios to ensure smooth traffic flow.
- Monitor work zones for safety hazards and potential problems such as stalled vehicles or debris in the road.
- Assist motorists with directions or information about construction projects or detours.
- Write out accident reports when necessary and provide testimony in court proceedings related to traffic incidents
