Oral Surgeon Job Responsibilities

  • Examine patients to assess their dental health and diagnose any problems
  • Discuss treatment options with patients and develop treatment plans
  • Perform surgery on the mouth, teeth, gums, jaws, and related structures to treat conditions such as cleft palate or jaw irregularities
  • Repair injuries to the mouth, teeth, gums, jaws, and related structures resulting from accidents or other trauma
