The Occupational Therapist Assistant will provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an occupational therapist in accordance with state licensure regulations. They will carry out treatment plans, evaluate patients' progress, and document care. The OTA will also instruct patients and families in therapeutic exercises and activities, and adaptive equipment use. Excellent communication skills are essential in order to collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team and to maintain positive relationships with patients and their caregivers.
