Historian Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- There are no formal qualifications needed to become a historian, although most historians have at least an undergraduate degree in history. Many historians also have postgraduate degrees, such as a master's degree or PhD. Some skills that are helpful for historians include: research skills, writing skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking skills.
