The Crane Operator is responsible for the operation of a crane to load, unload and move materials around a construction site. They must be able to communicate with the construction crew to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials. The Crane Operator must have a valid driver's license and certification from a accredited crane operator training program.

  • Operate crane to lift, move, and position loads

Crane Operator Job Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • A crane operator typically needs to have a high school diploma, although some jobs may require postsecondary education, and must complete an apprenticeship or onthe-job training. Most crane operators also need to be certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).
