Compliance Officer Responsibilities
- Perform onsite inspections of construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Perform site visits to ensure compliance of projects to project plans and specifications
- Engage in meetings with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to clearly communicate expectations and maintain accountability
- Manage and review all contract documents
- Conduct meetings with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring all parties understand requirements and resolve potential issues
- Support engineering, safety, and quality control departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Objectives
- Ensure adherence to all legal requirements and industry standards
- Ensure that all company policies, procedures, standards, and regulations are adhered to and enforced
- Authorise and negotiate contracts for legal entities
- Ensure that all contracts comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Ensure that company operations comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Research and evaluate new laws and regulations and determine if and how the company should comply with them
- Report findings to management, when necessary
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and reports
- Review and approve payments made by company to others
- Assist with compiling financial reports
- Research, investigate, and resolve issues and disputes that may arise between customers, vendors, and the public
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those governing the lending industry
Compliance Officer Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in compliance or compliance related field
- 3+ years’ compliance experience
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues and branch operations
- Strong analytical and communication skills. Must be able to analyze rules and trends and effectively communicate findings
- Knowledge of general business software
