BI Consultant Job Description Template
The BI Consultant will be responsible for working with clients to understand their business needs and requirements, and translating these into technical specifications for the development of Business Intelligence solutions. The BI Consultant will liaise with developers to ensure that the delivered solution meets the required specifications, and provide support to users during the testing and implementation phases. Once implemented, the BI Consultant will provide ongoing user support and training as required.
BI Consultant Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement business intelligence solutions to support organizational decisionmaking.
- Identify and collect data from internal and external sources to populate business intelligence applications.
- Configure, test and deploy BI software applications according to customer requirements.
- Train users on how to utilize business intelligence tools and interpret results for maximum benefit.
- Monitor performance of BI systems and recommend improvements or modifications as needed.
- Write reports, manuals and other documentation to help users understand business intelligence concepts and processes.

BI Consultant Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization software
