A truck driver is responsible for driving a commercial truck or tractor-trailer to transport goods from one location to another. - Drive a truck or other vehicle to transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations
- Inspect vehicle before and after journey for any damage or defects
- Ensure that all cargo is securely loaded and lashed down
- Maintain accurate logbooks documenting hours driven, rest periods, mileage covered, and any incidents that occur during the journey
- Comply with all relevant traffic laws and regulations
- May be required to perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, changing tyres, etc.
