The plumber helper is responsible for assisting the journeyman plumber with various tasks on commercial and residential plumbing projects. Duties include but are not limited to measuring and cutting pipes, soldering fittings, installing fixtures such as toilets and sinks, and cleaning up debris from work areas. The helper must be able to take direction well and be comfortable working in cramped spaces.

Plumber Helper Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the plumber with various tasks as needed, including but not limited to: running errands, cleaning up the work area, fetching tools and supplies, and holding pipes or other materials in place.
  • Be available to answer any questions the plumber may have about the job at hand.
  • Help ensure that all plumbing work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be willing to lend a helping hand with any other tasks that may need to be completed around the job site, such as moving furniture or sweeping up debris.

  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time is required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is preferred.
