A plasterer is responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings in order to create a smooth, even surface. They may also be responsible for repairing existing plaster surfaces. In some cases, plasterers may also apply decorative finishes such as stucco. Plasterers must have a good eye for detail in order to create an even, smooth surface. They must be physically fit as the job involves standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy bags of plaster. Plasterers must also be able to work well in a team as the job often requires working with other tradespeople such as electricians and carpenters.
