The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and tracking inventory levels, as well as overseeing the receiving and shipping of products. They work closely with other members of the supply chain team to ensure that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date. The Specialist also assists in developing and implementing new inventory management procedures.

Inventory Specialist Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Perform regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve any variances in inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder as necessary to maintain desired inventories.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, trends, etc. as needed or requested by management.
