A interpreter is responsible for translating spoken or written messages from one language to another. Interpreter Job Responsibilities
- Provide interpretation and translation services for individuals who are deaf or have hearing impairments
- Convey messages accurately and concisely between parties who do not share a common language
- Facilitate communication by clarifying meaning, context, and tone of spoken or written exchanges
- Ensure that all parties involved in a conversation understand one another by paraphrasing or rephrasing as needed
- Remain impartial and objective while interpreting, avoiding any personal bias or opinion
- Edit documents as needed to ensure accuracy and clarity prior to translation
- Maintain confidentiality of information shared during interpretation
Objectives

Interpreter Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- To be an interpreter, you need to be fluent in at least two languages. In addition, you need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to effectively communicate meaning between two parties who do not share a common language.
