Armed Security Officer Job Description Template
The Armed Security Officer is responsible for providing armed security services to protect our clients' employees, property and assets. He or she will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or unauthorized activities. The Armed Security Officer will respond quickly and effectively to any security breaches or emergencies. He or she will also conduct regular patrols of the premises and monitor CCTV footage.
Armed Security Officer Job Responsibilities
- patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
- monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems
- investigate alarms and suspicious activities
- apprehend or detain suspects in accordance with local laws and regulations
- write reports detailing observations, incidents, and patrol activities

- provide assistance to emergency responders as needed

Armed Security Officer Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- The skills and qualifications needed for the role of Armed Security Officer include: completion of a basic law enforcement or security training program; possession of a valid stateissued security guard license; and firearms proficiency.
